ABOUT US

OUR ORGANISATION

Carissa International is non profit organization that work with young people in northern Uganda. Its aim is to reduce poverty and increase participation of young people in community development issues in northern Uganda through experiential training in vocational skills, entrepreneurship and social enterprise leadership.

  • Our Vision Statement: - A society where young people are able to engage in sustainable livelihoods and create positive change in their communities.
  • Our Mission Statement: - To empower young people with skills and knowledge, and create enabling environment for them to engage effectively in sustainable enterprises and participate meaningfully in community development issues.

Our Objectives

  1. To provide tailor-made vocational and social entrepreneurship skills training to young people.

4. To inculcate the spirit of accountable social enterprise leadership among aspiring young entrepreneurs.

2. To improve access to affordable finance, business development and job opportunities among marginalized youths and women.

5. To promote effective participation of youth and women in community development issues.

3. To improve self-esteem, social well-being and physical health of young people through sports outreaches, dialogues, mentorship and exposures.

6. To cooperate and coordinate with other development partners and government agencies in achieving set objectives.
